Royal Tea Time at Grammy's Castle

Today is Martin Luther King holiday and I didn't have to go to school.
I got to have a sleep over at Grammy and Grampy's castle.
When I stay at Grammy's we always have a royal tea party.
It was a nice day so we got dressed up in our royal clothes and had our tea party in the patio.
I like to cool my tea with milk.
Grammy says that is very English.
Grammy says she has English blog friends. Do you cool your tea with milk?
We made a toast for good luck.

Queen Grammy made lots of lemon with honey herbal tea.
She said it would make my cold feel better.
It did.

I was happy when King Grampy joined our tea party.

Did you notice the pretty centerpiece on the table?
Grammy told me a proper table always has a centerpiece.
I made one all by myself.
...
I glued pretty flowers on a pine cone.
Then I collected more pine cones from the side yard.
I call it our enchanted forest.
I put the pine cones in pots.
Grammy said I made a beautiful centerpiece.
After the tea party King Grampy started cleaning the royal pool.
Since I am a very kind princess I helped him.

I always like to help when I come to Grammy and Grampy's castle.

Grammy and Grampy say I am a very good helper.
I like coming to stay at their castle.
I don't want to go home.
Love, Princess Claire

  9. Dear Claire,
I love your cute blog. I am glad that Aunt Erin and Amanda helped you find out how to make it so nice. I love the music Aunt Erin put on for you and I think the background is really nice.

We are so glad that we could have such a fun day with you today....and it is really nice that you get to sleep over again tonight.

    Grammy and Grampy love you!!!

  10. Dear Princess Claire! I am a friend of Grammies that lives in England and I love your blog! They do sometimes put the milk in first over here, but I can tell you that they do not have any princesses as pretty and as smart as you, nor do our princesses have such lovely Grammies and Grampies! Their tea parties are stuffy and full of boring things and they NEVER get to help clean the pool! Your tea party looks like it was a lot more fun! Maybe one day you can come and have tea over here? That would be wonderful! I would love to sleep over at your Grandparent's place. They really know how to have a fun time!

  11. Princess Claire, you are so blessed to have such wonderful adventures with your Grammy and Grampy! They are so wonderful. I am a friend of theirs, they live in my ward. I know your mommy too! You are a beautiful and talented girl, and I know your Grammy loves it when you visit her castle and spend Royal time with her!

  14. Dear Claire: You make a most precious princess and you royal tea party is absolutely fabulous. I don't come from England, but I've been to several teas there, and I DO put milk in my tea...it's my favorite way to drink tea. Did I mention that this is the cutest tea I have ever seen. Next month the girls in my family are having a Valentine Tea Party and I might just copy your darling centerpiece. You have so many talents...Thanks for sharing sweetie!!!

  16. Dear Princess Claire,
As a Royal lady I feel I should call you Ma'am or Your Highness but, as I'm pleased to call your Grammy my friend maybe we can dispense with the formalities?

I wish I had been to your Tea Party. Your table centre was lovely and - what's that you have? Looked like a golden teapot - I am all envy! Respect Ma'am!

I am an English woman but I live a long way from London, where the Queen lives. Just so you'll know if I ever manage to get to Grammy's house some day, I don't like milk or sugar in my tea, just beautiful and golden straight from the pot and in a real bone china cup and saucer.

Hey - maybe one day you could host a virtual Royal Tea Party. That would be fun.

Well, we have different time over here so while you are tucked up in your bed, fast asleep, I have to think what we're having for lunch!

    Enjoy your day love,

    Angie, xxx
